Missionary
Work Blesses Everyone
When
I turn 19, I will go on a mission. But, the Prophet David O. McKay
said “every member a missionary.” That means that I can be a
missionary now. I can be a missionary now by teaching my friends
about Jesus, Heavenly Father, the Book of Mormon, and prophets. When
I teach people about Jesus Christ, it blesses them and it blesses me
too.
A
good example of missionary work is Ammon in the Book of Mormon. Ammon
was a good missionary because he taught King Lamoni about Jesus
Christ and Heavenly Father. Ammon taught by the Holy Ghost. Before
King Lamoni was converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, he was bad.
He would kill people and he would go to war with the Nephites. After
he was converted, he promised he would never use weapons again and
never hurt anyone again. Because of Ammon, thousands of Lamanites
were converted. They no longer fought the Nephites, but lived like
Jesus Christ.
I
want to be a missionary like Ammon. I want to teach with the power of
the Holy Ghost, and teach people about Jesus Christ. I know I can be
a good missionary now. And as I teach my friends, neighbors and
family about the gospel, I know that we will all be more like Jesus
Christ. And being like Jesus Christ makes the world a better place.
I
know the church is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
